Investigators are looking into the death of a 53-year old Winnsboro woman. Joy Elizabeth Glasgow was found shot dead in her home on Monday.

Sheriff’s deputies in Wood County say they went to a house on the 3900 block of County Road 4660 for a welfare check.

That’s where they found Glasgow’s body, who apparently had been shot.

Glasgow lived alone in the home.

No word yet on any possible suspects.
