Cherokee County gets additional 91k

CCDD relinquishes assets
Rusk---The Jacksonville Daily Progress is reporting: at the end of Monday's regular commissioners court meeting, Cherokee County gained more than ninety-one thousand dollars.
The dollars came from the now defunct Cherokee County Development District.
Ted Wheeler told commissioners Monday, the process of dissolving the district is ongoing.
The bulk of the over 91k, would come from uncollected taxes.
Wheeler also presented commissioners with a check for $10,207.13 — cash that was in the district’s bank account — as well as the account’s final statement.
