Longview, Texas (KETK) —
It looks like fifth time's a charm for Longview Lobo defensive tackle Zaycoven Henderson.
After announcing his commitment to the University of Texas December 9, 2013, he has now bailed on the Longhorns and chosen to head to Texas A&M University.
Henderson announced the change Wednesday night via Twitter and Lobos' head coach John King confirmed the switch to Sam Khan Jr., of ESPN.
However, this is not the first time the four-star recruit has pulled a 180. He also committed to Texas Christian University in the summer of 2013 before eventually pulling away from the Horned Frogs in September.
ESPN Central Texas first announced Henderson's change of heart during the radio show, Unnecessary Roughness, but did not know which school Henderson was leaning toward.
Henderson was a 12-5A first-team selection for the Lobos, having racked up 36 tackles, 13 for loss, two sacks, a forced fumble, a fumble recovery and a defensive touchdown in eight games during his senior campaign, according to the Longview News-Journal. Henderson also missed the first five games of the 2013 season after a Jones fracture needed surgery.
