Yankees third baseman Alex Rodriguez has been hit with a 162-game suspension from arbitrator Frederic Horowitz, effectively ruling him out for the entire 2014 season. The suspension also covers the postseason.

I hope the suspension means no pay. It will likely mean the end of his career. He has angered the Yankees, he's old & a year off will make him slower. He missed 1/2 of last season with an injury. No other team would touch him for the $$$ his contract calls for. Yanks will likely buy him out and he's fade into the sunset- good riddance.
