Cowboys DB Brandon Carr had four tackles, three passes defensed and set up the game-winning field goal in overtime with an interception in the Cowboys’ 27-24 win over Pittsburgh.

On the second play of overtime, Carr intercepted a pass at the Pittsburgh 37-yard line and returned it 36 yards to the one-yard line. Carr’s interception and return set up DAN BAILEY’s game-winning field goal.

It marked the second time in the past decade that a Cowboy recorded an interception in overtime to set up the game-winning score. Linebacker SEAN LEE’s interception led to the game-winning field goal in Dallas’ 38-35 win over Indianapolis in 2010 (December 5, 2010).

Carr has recorded an interception in each of the past two games. Both interceptions have led to points (10).

In his first season with the Cowboys, Carr leads the team with three interceptions and 10 passes defensed. All three of Carr’s interceptions have led to points (17), including a 47-yard touchdown return in Week 10.

In his fifth year from Grand Valley State, this is Carr’s first career Player of the Week Award.

Carr is the first Cowboy to be named Defensive Player of the Week since Lee in 2010 (Week 13).
