Tyler, Tx (KET) — Here's a look at how our local schools did on the court Saturday.
Junior Jacob Parker recorded his seventh double-double of the season and senior Deshaunt Walker added 19 points off the bench to push the Stephen F. Austin men's basketball team over Central Arkansas 66-49 Saturday afternoon inside Farris Center.
The Stephen F. Austin Ladyjacks came up short as the Central Arkansas Sugar Bears used a long run in the second half to pull away and defeat the Ladyjacks 65-42.
The UT Tyler men's basketball team put a scare in American Southwest Conference-leader Texas-Dallas on Saturday, but could not hang on, falling 76-72. Four Patriots scored in double-digits led by Jordan Cannon's 17 points in the loss.
Brittany King had a historic day, scoring 26 points and hauling-in 21 rebounds, helping to lead UT Tyler women's basketball to a 62-57 win over Texas-Dallas. The win keeps the Patriots in first-place in the conference standings.
Mississippi College erased a 20-point halftime deficit to defeat the LeTourneau University men's basketball team, 69-68 on Saturday afternoon
Four members of the LeTourneau University women's basketball team scored in double digits in a 67-61 loss to host Mississippi College on Saturday afternoon in the final trip to Clinton, Mississippi for the YellowJackets
