On July 1st,  Lufkin and Nacogdoches Soccer will never be the same. The biggest Soccer Franchise in the North America will be touching East Texas Soil to battle against homegrown and local talent.

Chivas of Guadalajara U20 Proffesional Team will be traveling to Lufkin,Texas to fulfill their offseason preparation to defend their title in Mexico Pro League Liga MX.

TuCasa Marketing Group lead by Marco A Morales decided to offer an opportunity to local youth to come out and try out in front of Coach Rodolfo Sarabia and be part of the Select team that will battle the all mighty Chivas of Guadalajara on July 1st. This project was taken very seriously after The Hispanic Business Alliance in Tyler offered TuCasa Marketing group an opportunity to bring in this Multi Million Dollar Franchise to East Texas.

Having only one month to prepare, TuCasa Marketing Group was put in a huge Time Bomb and had to start preparations immediately. A new logo creation of our East Texas team had to be in front of Chivas Club Organizers for them to approve such event. The name of the home based team is "Texas Timbers" with a logo of a Superman Log holding a Soccer ball. This was sketched and created by Juan Pantoja of GWS. Inc. This logo totally represents the whereabouts in the deep Pineywoods. The location of the game setting was also a huge topic since Lufkin does not have a set home for an event with a Pro Team. This is where LISD opened up the doors to Jase Magers Soccer Field. Basically one of the best Soccer fields in the state. City Mayor Bob Brown and many other city leaders support the capacity and importance of this event to be held in Lufkin.

"This could be the beginning of new Pro Team out of East Texas" said Event Coordinator Marco Morales. "Bringing in a Franchise with the capacity of Chivas can create door keys to bigger and exciting new opportunities", "For those that dont know anything about Chivas, Its like bringing in the New York Yankees for baseball or the Los Angeles Lakers for Basketball and having your local youth compete against them. Its is this exciting!''

The most exciting part of this project is the development and preparation of a home based team. 70 players showed up for tryouts and only 24 made the team. Players from Nacogdoches, Lufkin, Crockett, Jacksonville, Livingston, Tyler, and many other cities showed up to tryout out. Head Coach Rodolfo Sanabria and Assistant Coach Antonio Garcia have been working very hard with these boys to offer us the best exhibition match ever held in East Texas on July 1st.

This Soccer match between Chivas de Guadalajara vs East Texas Timbers is set to kick off at 7 p.m.m on Monday July 1st, at Jase Magers Soccer Complex in Lufkin and is expected to sell out. You can purchase tickets via online at ticketriver.com or La Michoacana Meat Market in Lufkin and Nacogdoches.
