It's official, the United States Men's National Team captain and Nacogdoches native, Clint Dempsey, has made his way back to Major League Soccer.

Dempsey will play for the Seattle Sounders after the American midfielder played for Tottenham Hotspur last year.

Dempsey last played in MLS from 2004-2006, claiming the "Rookie of the Year" title in 2004. During seven seasons in the Premier League, he scored 57 goals, the most by any American.

Sounders fans hope Dempsey is the missing puzzle piece that will propel them to the playoffs and quite possibly, their first MLS Cup.
