Tyler, Texas (KETK) — According to NBC Sports, the Oakland Raiders have released former Robert E. Lee quarterback and LSU standout, Matt Flynn.
Flynn was traded to the Raiders from the Seahawks earlier this year.
The Tylerite was expected to be the started for Oakland during training camp this summer but was beat out by Terrelle Pryor.
Flynn started for Pryor when he was out due to injury, but played so poorly, he dropped from second to third on the Oakland depth chart.
