Tony Levine took over at the University of Houston when Kevin Sumlin left for Texas A&M three years ago.

Levine came to East Texas Thursday.

The UH coach held a football camp at Kilgore High School.

Levine told KETK that he likes East Texas athletes.

"East Texas is a very special community," Levine said.  "We've got a number of young men in our program that have been great representatives of East Texas."

"We'll always recruit East Texas," Levine added.

Kilgore senior running back Kevrin Justice has committed to Houston.

He'll play college ball for the Cougars.

"I really love that program and what they're doing with it," Justice told KETK.  "Houston's on the rise."

"I believe in it and they believe in it," Justice added.  "I just want to take the next step up and help them."
