East Texans named to Texas Football Super Team

Daylon Mack is as big as a Mack Truck.

He weighs 315 pounds and he pounds opponents when he carries the ball.

Mack is one of several East Texans to be named to the Dave Campbell Texas Football Magazine Super Team.

He led the Gladewater Bears to their best season since 2001.

Gladewater went to the state quarterfinals last year.

Mack will be back this year for his senior season.

Then he'll play college ball in College Station.

He has committed to Texas A&M.

Keke Coutee has also made the Super Team.

Coutee is a Lufkin receiver who caught 59 passes last season and gained over 800 yards.

He's one of the best receivers in the country.

Coutee is ranked 24th in the nation.

Justin Dunning of Whitehouse, Kris Boyd of Gilmer, Erik McCoy of Lufkin, Jaylon Lane of Nacogdoches and Larry Pryor of Sulphur Springs have also been named to the statewide Super Team.
