Tyler Lee had won just four games in the last three years.

But the Red Raiders have won their first two games this year.

Lee's latest vicory came against Lufkin.

The Lufkin Panthers against the Tyler Lee Red Raiders at the Trinity Mother Frances Football Classic. They used to be in the same district. Now they play in non-district. Both teams won their season openers. First quarter, Tavon Wesley. Tavon is gone! The sophomore scores a touchdown! Lee takes the lead. More Lee. QB Zach Hall, deep, complete! Diondre Allen with the touchdown! 79 yards. Lufkin, short pass, long gain. Steven Sowell takes the screen pass for a score! Touchdown. Lee beats Lufkin, 42-30. After just 4 wins in the last 3 years, Tyler Lee has won its first 2 games of this season.

The Groveton Indians and the Alto Yellowjackets. Alto lost its season opener but the Jackets did not drop out of the top ten statewide. Alto quick pass. Jacolby Whitaker takes it down to the 8 yard line. Whitaker coming right at you. At the pylon, touchdown! Big play for the Mean Sting. Groveton running back Kelvin James. He breaks it! Kelvin is not coming back He's gone. Touchdown Groveton. Alto QB Zach Sturns, long pass, caught! Javionte Mumphrey, touchdown Jackets! Alto win, 47-27.

The Athens Hornets and the Spring Hill Panthers. Both teams won their season openers. The Hill was playing its second straight home game. Spring Hill short run. Defensive game early. Panther pass, tipped and picked! Timothy Tanner with the interception. Big play for Athens. Hornets RB Devin Hall. Nice gain. Hall again. He's hauling the mail. Hall one more time. Touchdown Athens! It's a shutout. Athens wins 42-0.

The Plano Prestonwood Lions and the Gilmer Buckeyes. Gilmer lost to the Lions last year. Prestonwood has won three straight against the District of Doom. Gilmer pass to Chase Tate. You can shase him but you won't catch him. Touchdown Bux! This is the 100th year of Gilmer football. QB Tanner Barr to Devondrick Dixon. Barr had 3 touchdown passes early. It's a milestone. Gilmer coach Jefft Traylor gets his 150th career victory. Gilmer wins, 66-32.

The Nacogdoches Dragons and the Henderson Lions. Home opener for Henderson. Season opener for Nacogdoches. Henderson QB Zane Boles, complete to Tre Hollins, to the 3 yard line. That set up this. Boles QB keeper, touchdown! Lions take the lead. Henderson punt. Brandon James on the return for Nac. The Dragons are braggin'! Jones will not be stopped. Touchdown Nacogdoches! Henderson, Boles to Hollins again. He gets loose! They will not catch him. Touchdown! Nacogdoches wins 35-14. Nac was winless last year, but the Dragons win their season opener this year.

The White Oak Roughnecks and the Bullard Panthers. Both teams won their season openers. Home opener for Bullard. Riley Lakin, touchdown 'Necks! Here comes a trick play. Gale Dillon to Lakin to Jansen McCurdy. It worked! Three seniors combined for the second touchdown of the game! White Oak wins 35-14.

The Carthage Bulldogs and the Lindale Eagles. #1 Carthage playing its second straight road game. The Bulldogs beat Jacksonville in the Tomato Bowl last week. First quarter, Carthage RB Tevin Pipkin. It's a Tevin touchdown! Carthage kicks off. Deandre Williams camps under it. He goes right, then he goes right up the middle. Watch him go! He runs halfway to Carthage. Williams goes all the way for a touchdown! Carhage wins, 45-17.

Longview beat Marshall, 26-14.
