KETK has confirmed Gladewater Independent School District Athletic Director and head football coach Jerrod Baugh has resigned from his position.

According to officials at Gladwater ISD, Baugh's resignation was accepted at a school board meeting Monday evening after having been placed on administrative leave.

Gladewater High School defensive coordinator John Berry was named interim head football coach and Athletic Director following the January 12th arrest of Baugh on a charge of driving while intoxicated.

Baugh started coaching the Bears in 2010 and Berry came with Baugh when he made the move to Gladewater.

Baugh's coaching experience includes the following:

  • 1998-1999: Caldwell High School - Receivers/Defensive Backs Coach

  • 1999-2000: Ouachita High School - Receivers Coach

  • 2000-2004: Longview High School - Quarterbacks Coach

  • 2004-2010: Longview High School - Offensive Coordinator/Quarterbacks

  • 2010-2014: Gladewater High School - Athletic Director/Head Football Coach
