UPDATED: Wednesday, July 24, 2013 - 6:28pm

He is the Sports Editor of the Longview News-Journal.

Jack Stallard talked with KETK Sports Director Danny Elzner about an upcoming All-Star softball game.

Stallard said "It's the first East Texas high school All-Star softball game. It'll be at 6:30 Friday at Lear Park in Longview. They'll play two seven inning games. Twenty-eight players will represent 16 schools. It's one last shot to hit the diamond."

Stallard also talked about the Longview Lobos.

What kind of football team will they have?

"This is a team that reached the regional semifinals with a quarterback who was supposed to be on the junior varsity. Longview lost its starting quarterback the first game of the season but the Lobos still managed to win nine games. Zay Henderson has committed to TCU. Dorian Leonard has committed to Texas. Quarterback Dez Chumley has a year under his belt. This should be a good football team this year."
