White Oak whips past Bullard, 35-14
Bullard, Texas (Longview News-Journal) —
The White Oak Roughnecks scored on their first three possessions in the first quarter, added another TD in the second quarter and never looked back en route to a 35-14 win over Bullard on Friday.
The ‘Necks took the opening kickoff and drove 66 yards in 12 plays. Riley Lakin ran the final three yards for the touchdown. The PAT kick by Jack Rogers, his first of four in the first half, was true and White Oak was in the driver’s seat.
The ‘Necks’ defense held Bullard to four and out and got the ball back on their 36. With only about 90 seconds elapsed since their first touchdown, the crowd saw an old-fashion razzle dazzle play. Quarterback Dylan Gale passed to Gabe Michael in the backfield. Michael then pulled up short and tossed a touchdown pass to Jansen McCurdy.
