Whitehouse's Justin Dunning nominated for U.S. Army All-American Bowl
Tyler, Texas (KETK) — Whitehouse High School student Justin Dunning has been honored as one of the nation’s top 400 senior football players.
Dunning was nominated for a chance to play in the 2015 United States Army All-American Bowl scheduled for January 3, 2015. The bowl will be played between the East and the West and will be televised live on KETK.
Of the 400 nominated, 90 senior athletes will be selected to participate in the bowl game. The nomination committee observes athletes throughout the year during camps, games, trainings and clinics. The nomination committee evaluates an athlete’s mental, emotional and physical strengths, as well as leadership qualities on and off the playing field.
Player finalists will be announced throughout next fall and official letters will be mailed to each of the 90 athletes’ head football coaches.
For more than a decade, the U.S. Army Bowl game has recognized high school athletes. Former participants in the U.S. Army All-American Bowl include Adrian Peterson and Andrew Luck.
