Josh Hamilton is preparing as though he will be the Texas Rangers' starting center fielder on Opening Day. He hasn't been told a definitive answer, but feels it's easier to go from playing center field to left field rather than left to center.

Craig Gentry and Julio Borbon are still candidates for the center-field job, but neither has seized it.
