Longview, TX (Longview News Journal) — Longview powerlifters Jalen Johnson (165-pound division) and Omar French (198-pound division) punched their tickets to the state powerlifting meet on Saturday.

Johnson and French both finished second in their weight classes, and French had the top deadlift in the heavyweight division with a 600 pound lift despite competing at 194.2 pounds.
