The Longview Lobos varsity football team will host four home games during the 2012 season under the tentative schedule released Thursday afternoon. Monterrey (Mexico) Tech is among the teams traveling to play in Longview. Tech also agreed to play here in 2013. The Lobos are also set to host district games against Rockwall Heath, North Mesquite and Rockwall.

While the Tom Landry Classic is something new to the schedule, the Lobos are still slated to face Lufkin and Marshall – the oldest rivalry in Texas high school football. Details of the Marshall and Lufkin games have yet to be finalized, according to Athletic Director John King.
