The Dallas Mavericks have signed a big man, ironically enough, they just had to look about 275 miles south.

The Mavs have signed former San Antonio Spurs center, DeJaun Blair to a one-year contract on Tuesday.

According to sources, the agreement is set to pay Blair $1.4 million for the year.

The terms of the signing have yet to be confirmed, but Blair took to Twitter this afternoon saying, "SA you always in my heart," followed by, "Dallas!!!!! Now lets have some fun!!!!"

Blair has averaged 7.8 points per game and 5.8 rebounds in his first four NBA seasons after being picked by the Spurs in the second round of the 2009 NBA draft.

This past season, Blair lost his starting position to Tiago Splitter who proved to be a force to be reckoned with in the 2013 NBA Finals.
