According to ESPN, the star who National Football League Players want to see the most in a Super Bowl is none other than East Texan, Adrian Peterson.

Peterson has racked up accolade after accolade, but he has yet rush the field for a Super Bowl and ESPN reports, NFL players are anxious to see that.

The Palestine native won the NFL MVP in 2012 and almost slid into the Super Bowl in 2009 when the Minnesota Vikings faced the New Orleans Saints in the NFC Championship game. Although Peterson had three touchdowns in that game, the Vikings went on to lose in overtime.

This is the fourth time out of the past seven years the Vikings have failed to make a playoff-run.

Other players who were voted on by their peers to be seen in a Super Bowl were:

  • Tony Gonzalez

  • Calvin Johnson

  • Russell Wilson

  • Andre Johnson

  • Michael Vick

Fans and players, alike, will get to see Wilson and the Seahawks take on Peyton Manning and the Denver Broncos in the Super Bowl set to kick off Sunday, February 2.
