According to media reports, the Texas Rangers have acquired pitcher Matt Garza from the Chicago Cubs in a four-player deal.

29-year-old Garza has a career earned run average of 3.80, a 2013 record of 6-1 and 927 career strikeouts.

Garza was originally drafted by the  Minnesota Twins as the 25th pick of the first round in the 2005 draft.

In exchange for Garza, the Rangers sent Mike Olt, C.J. Edwards and Justin Grimm to Chicago.
