Tyler, Texas (KETK) —
A memorabilia broker is claiming he paid Texas A&M quarterback, Johnny Manziel, $7,500 for signing around 200 mini- and normal-sized football helmets on the weekend of January 11th and 12th.
The broker has provided sports network, ESPN, with cell phone video showing "Johnny Football" signing white Texas A&M helmets and footballs. The video, however, does not show Manziel taking any money.
In the video footage, Manziel is heard saying, "You never did a signing with me," and that if the broker were to tell anyone, he would refuse to deal with him ever again.
The broker says he paid Manziel three times reporting Manziel wanted the money for new rims on his car and would not do special inscriptions in autographs because "it would lead to questions."
The source says he is not planning on cooperating with the in-depth NCAA investigation into Manziel's actions.
