It's reported that Cowboys TE Jason Witten suffered a spleen injury during the preseason opener against the Raiders.

Earlier reports had suggested that Witten only had the wind knocked out of him.

NBCSports.com says that the he could miss the entire preseason, and possibly the season opener against the Giants.
