Rockets Center breaks ankle
Houston Rockets center Yao Ming has a stress fracture in his left ankle.
Yao has been out since Nov. 10 with what has been called a bone bruise in the same ankle. An MRI performed Thursday revealed the stress fracture.
The team says there is no timetable for his return. It's a major setback for the 7-foot-6 Yao, a seven-time
All-Star, who sat out all of last season after surgery to repair his broken left foot.
Yao averaged 10.2 points and 5.4 rebounds a game in his five games this season.
