Taylor Smith scored 21 points and grabbed 13 rebounds to lift Stephen F. Austin to a 93-36 victory over Texas-Tyler on Friday night.

Four other players scored in double figures for Stephen F. Austin (6-7), which snapped a three-game losing streak.

They were Jereal Scott (14), Jonathan King (12), Kevin Broussard (12) and Micah Delph (10).

Darius Gardner kept the offense running smoothly with seven assists.

Texas-Tyler (2-8) struggled from the opening tip and was overmatched the rest of the way.

Darren Houliston and Larry Carpenter each scored seven points for the Patriots.
