The Online Red Kettle

From humble beginnings as a simple soup pot in San Francisco in 1891, the iconic Salvation Army Red Kettle  has not only circled the globe but also gone digital with the creation of the Online Red Kettle at www.onlineredkettle.org.

The Online Red Kettle (ORK) is an easy way for individuals and groups to support the programs and services The Salvation Army provides to the Tyler community year-round: perfect for classrooms, companies, and even sports teams, the ORK is a great choice for those who want to make a difference in their neighbors’ lives.

Quickly and easily create your own Individual or Team Kettle at www.onlineredkettle.org by following a few, simple instructions. Then use e-mail, Facebook, Twitter or even LinkedIn to invite friends, family, coworkers, and other potential donors to make a simple, 100-percent secure online donation to your Kettle. Maybe your Kettle will be the one that raises the most funds to enable The Salvation Army to continue Doing the Most Good in 2012.

The Salvation Army Red Kettle campaigns—both real and virtual–are even more crucial this year, when charitable income is down while even more individuals and families are seeking Salvation Army assistance. So please don’t forget to give to The Salvation Army this season.
