A Tyler man has been arrested for public lewdness after allegedly groping a woman on the Rose Rudman Trail Thursday afternoon.

The incident happened at 1:45 pm Thursday, when the woman was grabbed and fondled from behind by a man in the park as she was pushing her child's stroller. The woman screamed, drawing the attention of others in the park, who followed the man and called police.

The man, later identified as Jacob Bobbitt, 19, was later pulled over on Rhones Quarter Road, where he was arrested for public lewdness. He remains in the Smith County Jail.

Bobbit was arrested in September on the same charge after he allegedly fondled a woman in a Tyler Walmart.

Serious question: this man was previously charged with an identical act of lewdness one month ago...why was he released from violating another woman's space and, when turned out into the general public, allowed to do it again? This latest attack proves, beyond a doubt, that he has just started doing these unacceptable acts and will continue unless taken off the streets...NOW. Law enforcement and the court system need to do what we expect of them...keep women safe from this man.

In the walk of life, this kid crawls.
