Hello! Being a native Texan and having family here in East Texas I’m so proud to call Longview my new home.

I was born and raised in Houston, TX and graduated from Texas A & M University with a degree in Agriculture Communications & Journalism.

While attending college I worked four years for KBTX-TV in College Station, TX where I began to love the world of broadcast. I started in production operating cameras, teleprompter, chyron and moved on to become an editor. My junior year I had the amazing opportunity to become co-host & sports reporter for Aggie Gameday Live, a pre-game show for the A&M football games. I knew from this experience I wanted to do this for the rest of my life and I’m proud to say this is where I received two “Telly Awards”.

In 2005 I interned with KPRC-TV in Houston, where I gained much knowledge of this business and shadowed many talented reporters and anchors. In 2006 I had the time of my life doing an internship with “Extra Entertainment” news in Los Angeles, CA. During my time there I attended movie junkets, red carpet movie premiers and the 2006 ESPY Awards. I was able to sit in on interviews with Denzel Washington, Julia Roberts, Kate Hudson and many more…..I could go on forever as this was one amazing internship!

In my free time I love to workout, shop & travel. Every chance I get I run to Houston to visit my amazing family & friends. God has blessed me with the most loving & supportive parents, brother and family. Without them I certainly would not be where I am today. If you see me out never hesitate to say hello & if you ever have a question, story idea or just want to talk feel free to shoot me an email at halie.richardson@fox51.com
