Jennifer Kielman 6 & 10 Anchor
Jennifer Kielman joined KETK News in March 2007 and currently anchors the weekday newscasts at 6 p.m. & 10 p.m.
Jennifer earned a degree in Broadcast Journalism and Communications from Northern Illinois University. While there, she completed an internship at WTVO. After graduation, Jennifer became a weekend anchor and reporter at WAOW in Wisconsin. Jennifer has distinguished herself by winning several Associated Press awards and four EMMAs from the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences. East Texans also voted her BSCENE Magazine's "Best Local Hero" in 2011. And in August 2012, East Texans spoke up again. Jennifer was also named a winner in the Local TV Personality category in Tyler's "Locals Love Us" for the past two consecutive years.
Since coming to East Texas, Jennifer has made strong connections with the KETK audience, recently making the decision to share her very personal story of diagnosis of and treatment for breast cancer. She views her job as a journalist as a calling, and a way to share important, and sometimes life-saving, information with her viewers.
When she's not working, Jennifer enjoys shopping, visiting her family, playing with her two dogs, Butters & Lucy, and even cleaning and cooking.
