I moved to Texas in 1981 and have loved it ever since! The wide open spaces are great and the people are terrific!

I worked as a meteorologist at NBC 5 in Dallas - Ft. Worth for over 20 years and am very familiar with the weather here in the piney woods of East Texas. This job is a great challenge that I am thoroughly enjoying, especially because of all the great people of East Texas that I have met so far.

I received my B.S. degree in meteorology from Penn State in 1977. I worked at Accu Weather from 1977-1981 before moving to Texas for the NBC 5 job in 1981. I ran the Weather Watcher program there and had superb training from the man known as "The World's Greatest Weatherman", Mr. Harold Taft. We worked side by side from 1981 until he passed away in September of 1991. Harold was indeed the "Dean" of Texas Weather and I was so honored to work with him for so many years. We developed a close friendship and I miss him dearly to this day. I also miss working with David Finfrock (another Texas weather icon!) and the very talented Rebecca Miller, now at WB33 in Dallas. It was quite a team in those old days!

I have 2 older daughters. Christi, 22, graduated Texas Tech University as Valedictorian for the College of Communications in December, 2007. She now enjoys her job as a PR representative for a very sucessful public relations firm in Richardson, Texas. Aubrey, 19, is a freshman at Texas Tech University and made the Deans list in her fist semester. I am a very lucky dad indeed!

I look forward to the continuation of a very happy career here at KETK with Neal Barton and the rest of this very talented and professional team that he has assembled here. I hope to continue to meet many of you wonderful viewers in person!
