AG's office launches probe
Dallas---The Associated Press is reporting, the Texas Attorney General's office is using a grand jury from another county to probe voter fraud allegations in Dallas County, shutting Dallas County's Democratic district
attorney out of the loop.
The Dallas Morning News reports that the grand jury from neighboring Rockwall County is reviewing evidence involving mail-in ballots cast during the Dallas County Democratic primary last March.
District Attorney Craig Watkins had questioned Republican Attorney General Greg Abbott's motives when he offered to help Watkins' office investigate two Democratic constables.
But Watkins tells The News Abbott's office needs no comment from him on how to do its job.
