Tyler-Longview (KETK) — The next storm system has already begun to affect East Texas today with gray skies, cool temperatures and periods of light rain. However, this is just the beginning. The bigger show will come Thursday morning when we expect the rain to become more widespread across the area. The heaviest rain will likely move through the Tyler-Longview area between 6 AM and 10 AM Thursday.
Expects some downpours which could affect the morning rush hour. Thunderstorms will also be in the area and there could be some hail here and there.
The best chance for damaging storms will be in Deep East Texas during mid and late morning when there could be strong winds with some of the storms with even a chance for an isolated tornado or two. Most of East Texas will probably get at least one to two inches of welcome rain before it all comes to an end around lunchtime Thursday.
