EAST TEXAS FORECAST DETAILS:

OVERNIGHT:  Clear and  colder....Lows at daybreak will range from 30-33 in some rural low spots where there can be some scattered frost or a very light freeze to 34-39 in the downtown areas of Tyler and Longview and in some hilly areas...Winds NNE 5 mph.

DURING THE DAY SATURDAY:  Sunny and chilly...High near 59....Winds ENE 10 mph.

SATURDAY NIGHT:  Clear and cold again with a frost and light freeze in some areas again, mainly in the eastern half of East Texas: near and to the east of a line from Mt. Vernon to Tyler and to  Jacksonville and to Kennard and to Groveton.....Lows will range from 28-32 in some rural eastern areas to 33-37 in the downtown areas of the bigger cities and in western areas....Winds ESE 5 mph.

SUNDAY:  Sunny to mostly sunny and becoming a little milder...High near 65...Wind ESE 10 mph.

MONDAY: Mostly cloudy, breezy and mild...but it will feel rather cool because of the limited sunshine the cloud cover and the steady breeze....Temperatures:  Low 48,  High 68...Wind SE 15 mph.

TUESDAY, Election Day:  Cloudy with showers and thunderstorms likely--80% chance, mainly during the afternoon and night....Mild:  Low 60,  High 68...Wind S 10 mph.

WEDNESDAY & THURSDAY:  Mostly cloudy with more periods of rain....Temperatures:   Wednesday:  Low 56,  High 64,   Winds NNE 10 mph. Thursday:  Low 58,  High 65....Winds NNE 10 mph on Wednesday and N 10 on Thursday.   Rain chances: 80% on Wednesday, then 60% on Thursday.

FRIDAY: Cloudy skies with a 40% chance of rain in the morning hours. Low: 51. High: 65. Winds: NE 10 mph.
