Weather closures and delays

Severe weather hitting East Texas.

VAN — Officials at Van Independent School District say due to heavy rains, classes will be delayed Tuesday morning by two hours.

SMITH COUNTY — County Roads 426 and 452 in Smith County have been deemed unpassable because of water over bridges.

County Road 446 has suffered extensive damage and will remain closed until repairs can be made.

Officials say County Road 484 has been closed due to it being washed out.

County Road 448 can be traveled with caution up to its intersection with County Road 446.

Wood County — An earthen dam failed on Vickory Lake near the intersection of Highway 37 and County Road 2330. Three homes have been evacuated.

Harmony — Officials say school has been canceled Wednesday for all Harmony ISD schools due to heavy flooding. The faculty and staff will work from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m.
