Tyler, Texas (KEKT) — Good Monday morning!
Today will be cloudy with a 60 percent chance of showers and a few thunderstorms, mainly in the morning. Deep East Texas may see activity last until mid to late afternoon. It will be turning cooler and very windy as skies begin clearing by late afternoon and evening. Afternoon temperatures are only expected to reach the 50's with winds out of the northwest at 15-25 miles per hour.
Tonight the skies will become clear and winds will be subsiding. Expect a very cold night with frost and a freeze becoming more likely for our area. Lows will dip down into the 30's with areas in the countryside reaching lows from 31-32 degrees. Tyler's low will bottom out around 34 degrees. Winds will be out of the northwest at 10-15 miles per hour.
