A few morning showers and thunderstorms are possible, otherwise, variable clouds with periods of showers and thunderstorms again in the afternoon and evening hours are expected.

Overall rain coverage will be around 80 percent. Some storms will contain frequent lightning and very heavy rainfall with half-an-inch to an inch-and-a-half likely. A few storms could be strong to severe with brief damaging winds and some scattered hail.

The high temperature will top off near 88 degrees, but cooler in rain areas. Winds will be out of the south at 15 miles per hour, but variable, with much stronger gusts in and near thunderstorms.

Tonight, we'll see thunderstorms ending late with a low near 68 degrees. Winds will be out of the south before becoming, north, northeast at 10 miles per hour.
